Financial Asset Research
Business and Personal Asset Searches
The most critical component to the majority of legal and other private investigations is to find assets in order to determine the financial status of an entity or individual. This is especially true in due diligence and litigation matters. The extent of such research can be minimal or extreme, however, it is generally requested that we at least find out whether or not a subject has any assets in the form of property, and whether or not there are any liens against it. International Investigators, Inc. is routinely contracted to determine debt ratios to income, especially when investigating corporate entities. All asset searches are discreet and conducted in a legal manner.
Research to find any business or personal financial assets is also a useful component in the following types of cases:
- death claims
- embezzlement
- workers’ compensation
- competitive intelligence
- disability claims
- child custody/divorce
- collections/skip trace
Through the use of sophisticated research techniques, we can also find and identify any business or personal assets hidden by an individual or company. Assets are commonly disguised by simply having them placed under the names of trusted parties, and our clients often know the names under which we can find them. In these cases, it is always important to consider whether or not the assets or funds will be recoverable, if that is the ultimate goal of the searches. In cases of embezzlement, such information may be helpful by revealing additional conspirators, and may warrant the use of our forensic accounts and forensic computer specialists.
